Carmen Nardo Memorial Fund
|
Carmen Nardo was a
creative, talented, beautiful woman who practiced the
fiber arts using sheep, llama, camel, alpaca and other
fibers to create beautiful and useful items. She
practiced her art for more than 40 years and was a
fixture at such weekend markets as those held in Port
Gamble, Kingston, Poulsbo, etc. She founded the Wool
Hat Farm in Poulsbo, WA and worked diligently to keep it
running and alive until her untimely death on March 30,
2006.
Carmen is lovingly
remembered by her many friends and is sorely missed. We
hope this Scholarship Fund will help to keep her memory
alive and help others to become as creative as she and
to give to the world as she did.
Thank you for anything
you can give.
Donations to the Carmen
Nardo Memorial Fund may be made as follows: Make checks
payable to StillPointe Sanctuary and include a note on
the check as follows: Carmen Nardo Scholarship Fund.
All monies received in
this manner will be placed in a separate account and
will be used to fund scholarships to be awarded to
deserving students wishing to pursue a career in the
fiber arts. Please contact Chela Grey at the
StillPointe Sanctuary to receive scholarship
applications and the requirements to receive such
scholarships.
Sincerely,
Chela Grey
